Today was the first day of PLMI. The speakers today were informative and well spoken. I enjoyed learning the history of the regional library, as well as some of the history of the libraries of my fellow librarians here with me. I agree with Don Reynolds about how we should treat our "customers". Everyone deserves respect and kindness.

  1. From getting to know Sarah from our interview, I believe she is a great servant leader. She possesses the compassion and drive to make not only her library a great success but, her personal and family life as well.

  2. Sara, your interview with Angel is appreciated. I have been blessed also by talking with her this week and her testimony has enriched my life. Although she is getting stronger everyday, she will always miss her husband, the love of her life, and father of her children. It brings tears to my eyes to even think about ever having to go through the rest of my life without my husband, my lover, and my best friend. However, we need to be more kind and loving because who knows what we will all be faced with before another PLMI Conference takes place?

  3. Angela is an amazing person! As I was listening to her story I felt like crying for her, but she sat there with her shoulders back and her head held high determined to be a survivor. The amount of strength she has is inspiring.
